Water Damage

***LETS TALK WATER DAMAGE***
Time after time people come to me with water damaged devices. I tell people over and over it is crucial to get your device to a professional within 2 hours of it hitting the water or other liquids. Electronics are highly susceptible to water damage, the quicker you can get it to your electronics professional the better. Literally from the time it gets wet to the time its unrecoverable diminishes by the second.
I just recently had someone call me and said their laptop was in a bag/purse that had an open water bottle spill in it, I asked how long ago did it get wet? It just happened, I told them to bring it to me immediately and i could probably save it. He decided to call me back a few days later. I diagnosed his device... Corrosion to his components... YUP it killed it within a few days. This laptop is only 1 Month old and cost over $1200 CAD
